Le Vélo Rail Sud Alsace (Railbike)
Starting from the quartier d’Aspach, the 9.5 km route is a link between two valleys: The Thur and the Doller.
It extends from the gravel pits near Cernay St André up to the Bridge spanning over The Doller at Burnhaupt le haut.
It is situated on a part of the railway line operated by Train Thur-Doller Alsace.
It does not pose any difficulties even to the unseasoned Athletes!

BURNHAUPT Station
Station and engine workshop
During the stop at Burnhaupt station on a seasonal train, a visit of our Workshop is offered.
You will then see the renovation site of the 141C100 – Steam engine –
You will be able to ask all your questions to the voluntears.
During this stop our steam engine in operation will be filled up with water, you will then be able to look into the cab and ask questions to the fireman and driver present (voluntears).
SENTHEIM Station
The train Shunting
You can look at the train being topped up with coal like it was done back in the day, then it will shunt itself in place to bring back the passengers. This operation takes around 45 minutes.
Maison de la Terre de Haute Alsace
The museum Maison de la Terre de Haute Alsace is open every wednesday in July and August from 11am to 3pm. You can discover the rich geological finds of our region: Ancinets rocks, fossils and a large variety of minerals. You can also see archeological discoveries : a mammoth tusk and molar, the remains of an ancient ocean or even fragments of dinosaur eggs shells ! 3 euro entrance fee for adults and free for children 14 years old and under.

Come by bicycle !
The bicycle path follows the railway line from Burnhaupt à Sentheim.
You can ride and continuent into our beautiful valley of the Doller. The Cycle path goes all the way to Sewen! The distance from BURNHAUPT LE HAUT to SEWEN is 19.7 km of pretty journeys through beautiful villages..

At Shenteim there is an open space with picnic tables you can use.
